Jerry Kenaga Passes Long time industry door dealer and industry veteran Jerry Kenaga passed away from an extended illness in late August. Jerry and his wife, Joyce, both served the industry in many ways. Jerry served on the Board of Directors of the Far Western Garage Door Association, and the International Door Association. He and Joyce were the recipients of the 'IDA Volunteer Service Award.' Jerry was named 'Man of the Year' by the Far Western Garage Door Association.
"Jerry was always more than willing to provide support to his industry, and do it with a huge smile. He was a man who helped a great number of his peers; he was indeed a person with tremendous integrity, kindness, and humility," stated Chris Long, IDA Managing Director.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted in Fremont, California on September 9th in his honor.
