Delden Promotes Todd Whitney and Joe Rethford Todd Whitney has officially accepted the offer to be Delden Garage Doors' purchasing manager on a permanent basis. Todd originally assumed the position following Larry Nauser's retirement. Whitney manages most aspects of purchasing and logistics for all Delden branch offices. Whitney previously worked as Delden's receiving supervisor at the Kansas City headquarters and has been with the company for 14 years. In addition to Joe Rethford's duties of inside sales, his product knowledge has made him the right fit for Delden's specialty products coordinator. Rethford handles quotes for various products outside of Delden's traditional offerings of steel sectional doors. This includes additional manufactures for steel sectional doors, rolling doors, high performance doors, dock equipment and just about anything related to the overhead garage door industry. Rethford has 23 years of experience in residential and commercial garage doors. Whitmire Named National Sales Manager DoorKing ® , an access control and vehicular gate operating systems company, has announced the promotion of Jac Whitmire to national sales manager. In his new role, Whitmire will help develop and implement DoorKing sales strategies and he will be responsible for the company's regional sales managers, who will be reporting to him. Whitmire joined DoorKing in 2006 as the southwest regional sales manager, having responsibility for customers and sales in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Las Vegas and El Paso. He started in the industry in 2000 when he was employed by Miller Edge, Inc. in Tempe, AZ. Dusty Beeding, DoorKing's director of sales said, "Moving Jac into this position will benefit us immensely, and it will allow me to focus more time working with our distributors and developing new sales strategies and opportunities for all of our customers." Whitmire will be working out of the company's sales office in Tempe, AZ. Hörmann High Performance Doors Hires and Promotes Hörmann High Performance Doors recently announced they hired Hope Pelkey to join their inside sales department. Hope will support a group of regional sales managers with quoting and order processing. "With 23 years of customer service experience, Hope has hit the ground running and is already an asset to the department," comments Alice Permigiani, marketing director and inside sales manager. They are also pleased to announce the promotion of April Brown from a position in the manufacturing area to a newly-created position, parts support representative. With demands on the parts department steadily growing, April will work with Jay Ambrosini, parts department manager, to provide dealers with fast turnaround of parts quotes and orders. April is a 2005 graduate of the Pittsburgh Technical College with an Associate Degree in Science/Accounting. Hörmann High Performance Doors is pleased to announce Tom Staaf as their new production manager. Tom is a U.S.M.C. veteran and is trained in 6-Sigma, lean manufacturing, behavioral safety and quality control.
