INDUSTRYNEWS Re-Source Industries recently announced a new initiative, Re-Source Cares Because the company's core values include building strong communities, Re-Source Industries will pledge a portion of every eligible sale in 2019 and 2020 to a Habitat for Humanity home building project* in Fort Worth, Texas. Company President Doug Kidd said, "We are excited to give a deserving family a hand up through the dream of home ownership." Re-Source invites customers and vendors to help with the initiative through financial gifts to its Habitat home build. Giving will be tracked online, and customers can see their contributions grow each month as they log on to the company website, www.re-sourceind.com**. Contributors can give any amount, or choose a specific "item" gift, such as ten 2x4s for $25, a Front Door for $250, or Windows for $1000. Contact sales at 866-316-7337 to donate, or log on to our website where the Habitat giving link is posted. There will also be opportunities to volunteer time to the Habitat Project on special Build Days. Re-Source invites the garage door family to join the company in lifting spirits and lifting lives this year. * Habitat families are chosen based on an application process that must include paying rent for at least 12 months, not having enough living space currently, being gainfully employed, and being willing to put in a minimum of 250 "sweat equity" hours into their home or other homes being built by Habitat in their neighborhood. Trinity Habitat for Humanity is a great charity in terms of giving, too. Over 97% of each dollar goes directly to programs and services administered through Trinity Habitat. **Every contribution will be counted, and totals will be updated monthly. Overhead Door ™ Brand featured in 2018 Southern Living Idea House The 2018 Southern Living Idea House received a Tex- as-sized makeover, thanks to help from the Overhead Door ™ Brand who helped restore charming curb appeal to the 3,500-square foot Austin home. The Southern Living design team chose Overhead Door ™ Courtyard Collection ® Model 161A with white paint and Stockbridge windows to help bring the Southern-esque facade to life. Overhead Door Company of Austin ™ installed the garage door, which is made with the durability of steel but boasts the beauty of wood, complementing the home's soft and simple features. As more people are choosing to stay put and remodel their homes, Southern Living wanted its big renovation project to serve as a source of inspiration. Homeowners can turn to the Idea House for the best home appliances, designs and technology, thanks to designer Meredith Ellis of Meredith Ellis Design and James Showroom, architect Chris Sanders of Sanders Architecture, builder David Wilkes of David Wilkes Builders and landscape designer Big Red Sun.
