I owe a big thank you to IDA for helping support my educational journey. I hope you continue to make an impact in other student's lives as you have in mine." Madison Baker Sponsor: DH Pace Company School: Avila University Madison is a freshman at Avila University, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education. She is also a student athlete who plays soccer. Madison's ultimate goal is to become an elementary school teacher, helping students through good and bad times by offering continuous support. According to Madison, "I plan to make my classroom feel like home to each and every student; giving them the opportunity for personal growth, a feeling of self-worth and most importantly, a safe environment for learning. Goals give us focus, direction and something to look forward to, and being a recipient of the IDA Scholarship proves to me that my dreams can come true." Maren Barnett Sponsor: Reed City Tool School: Michigan State University Maren is studying elementary education at Michigan State University. Her minor is focused on teaching English to speakers of other languages. Maren knew she wanted to become a teacher from a young age and is excited to see her dreams become a reality. She is going into the education field so she can reach a wide variety of students, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or any other characteristics impacting them. Maren said, "Many students do not receive support from home, many lack resources and many students are deprived of the motivation needed to succeed. Through my career, I hope to reach many students' hearts and minds in order to inspire them to be the best version of themselves they can be." Hannah Batt Sponsor: Overhead Door Co. School: Cape Fear Community College Hannah is pursuing an Associates of Science degree at Cape Fear Community College.
