Morgan Blickley Sponsor: ABE Doors & Windows School: Cedar Crest College Morgan is currently attending Cedar Crest College as a double major in the Honors Program. In addition to her schooling, she works part-time at a vet clinic. While she admits her course and work load can be stressful, she thrives on challenging herself. "Chaos and entropy can't faze me for long, and stress can't paralyze me; it's the catalyst I need to make the most of my education. But another, more essential catalyst for my studies is money, since there is no education – no opportunity – without it. I am immensely grateful to the IDA Scholarship Foundation for granting me a scholarship, an opportunity, and an education. The generosity shown by this organization has empowered me - for three years now - to challenge myself, cross classes off the list, and accomplish more than I ever thought I would. While I might always be stressed, it is due to the kindness of the IDA Scholarship Foundation that I am far less stressed about money." Haley Cadran Sponsor: PDQ Door Co. School: The University of Maine Haley is a junior at the University of Maine, where she is double majoring in marketing and management. She will graduate in May 2020 and has interests in pursuing event planning. Taking on a variety of leadership roles and participating in numerous clubs has allowed Haley to go outside of her comfort zone. In addition to a strong academic focus, Haley prides herself on being the president of the American Marketing Association Student Chapter at her university, which has offered her many opportunities to excel. She is also involved in other extracurricular activities, including dance club, Colleges Against Cancer and Love your Melon Campus Crew. Despite extracurricular obligations, Haley continues to excel academically which has been showcased through her Dean's list status and induction into the National Society of Leadership and Success honors society. In addition, Haley hopes to continue her studies abroad at the end of her junior year. "Thank you IDA for honoring me with this scholarship and helping me get one step closer to my goals!" Ryan Clavin Sponsor: Overhead Door Company of St. Louis School: Westminster College Ryan is a junior at Westminster College, pursuing a degree in business management and business communication. "I am truly honored to receive this scholarship. It allows me to thank my parents for all the sacrifices they have made to put me in the position I am in today. I want to thank the IDA Scholarship for helping me continue to follow my passion." Christian Curry Sponsor: Overhead Door Co. He was recently elected as senator of his junior class and his most rewarding and favorite activity was taking part of the Big Buddies mentoring program, where he acted as a positive role model for elementary/middle school students.
