CELEBRATES 5 YEARS This year marks the industry���s 5th Annual SuperTech Day. SuperTech Day was proposed and endorsed during the 2008 Door Industry a Congress produced by IDA and the event was successfully conducted for the ���rst time w in June 2008. Hundreds of technicians have been honored in the previous four years of this event. Last year, dealers and manufacturers e from Canada, Mexico and United States f treated their hard working employees to t many tokens of appreciation, among them: breakfast, BBQ lunches, a day at the lake, SuperTech capes, hamburgers, tool and gift card give-aways, Japanese Bistro, ���owers, and ice cream. It is a good day when the boss can take time and a special activity to show appreciation to their employees! This year we want to read and see all the activities that dealers are doing to celebrate their technicians during SuperTech Day 2013. This year���s SuperTech Day is scheduled for Friday, June 28. If you need some ideas for this year���s celebration go to www.box.com/supertech2013 or search ���SuperTech Day��� on the doors. org website. You will ���nd 2012 celebration photos, the history behind this special day and suggestions for your 2013 appreciation activities. The photos re���ect the gratefulness of the dealers and the satisfaction of a job respected. weather permits, take your photo outside during daylight hours or select an inside area that has plenty of windows to attract sunlight or an of���ce space that includes a well-lit area. I suggest a group shot, perhaps technicians can line up in front of a SuperTech banner or in front of the company sign. Take several photos, for you never know when someone will decide to blink or yawn during the shot. As you are transferring your digital photos from your camera to your computer, be sure to save them in one of the following formats: JPEG (.jpg) or TIFF (.tiff). These are the most common formats for digital photos. Please change the name of the photos to re���ect your company���s name, for example: JonesDoorsJasperCO.jpg. Once you save them to your computer, review them and send in the best one or two photos. We will again be using a third party service called Box.net. It is a free online contact sharing service. You can either attach your photos and description to an email using this email address: upload.SuperTe.txymgirs96@u.box.com or you can visit www.box.com/supertech2013 to upload your ���les. If you visit the box.com site, you will be required to create a box.com account.
