CELEBRATES
5 YEARS
This year marks the industrys 5th Annual
SuperTech Day. SuperTech Day was proposed
and endorsed during the 2008 Door Industry
a
Congress produced by IDA and the event
was successfully conducted for the rst time
w
in June 2008. Hundreds of technicians have
been honored in the previous four years of this
event. Last year, dealers and manufacturers

treated their hard working employees to
t
many tokens of appreciation, among them:
breakfast, BBQ lunches, a day at the lake,
SuperTech capes, hamburgers, tool and gift
card give-aways, Japanese Bistro, owers, and
ice cream. It is a good day when the boss
can take time and a special activity to show
appreciation to their employees!
This year we want to read and see all the
activities that dealers are doing to celebrate their
technicians during SuperTech Day 2013. This
years SuperTech Day is scheduled for Friday,
June 28. If you need some ideas for this years
celebration go to www.box.com/supertech2013
or search SuperTech Day on the doors.

weather permits, take your photo outside during
daylight hours or select an inside area that has
plenty of windows to attract sunlight or an ofce
space that includes a well-lit area. I suggest a
group shot, perhaps technicians can line up in
front of a SuperTech banner or in front of the
company sign. Take several photos, for you never
know when someone will decide to blink or yawn
during the shot.
As you are transferring your digital photos from
your camera to your computer, be sure to save
them in one of the following formats: JPEG (.jpg)
or TIFF (.tiff). These are the most common formats
for digital photos. Please change the name of
the photos to reect your companys name, for
example: JonesDoorsJasperCO.jpg. Once you save
them to your computer, review them and send in
the best one or two photos.
We will again be using a third party service
