Roughly mirroring the widely popular NCAA March Madness Tournament, the Monitored March Madness Competition consisted of 10 fve-person teams participating in various games, such as a Sweet Sixteen Crossword Challenge, an Elite Eight Scavenger Hunt and a Final Four Installation Race Challenge, designed to educate employees on LiftMaster's Commercial Door Operator product line. From March 18-22, LiftMaster employees competed to earn the highest number of points in hopes to play in the fnal game, the CDO Jeopardy Championship. Each game focused on sharing insights into the UL325compliant LiftMaster Monitored Retro-Refective Photo Eye, which provides an ideal solution in commercial and industrial applications where safety, reliability, compliance and performance are vital. From the Sweet Sixteen Challenge to the Championship, employees showcased their extensive product knowledge. For example, in the Final Four Installation Challenge, the teams had 30 minutes to install the Monitored Retro-Refective Photo Eye on operators, and the team with the fastest installation time won and advanced to the next round. Lastly, the Championship Game was comprised of the fnal three team captains competing against one another in a full-fedged commercial door operator Jeopardy game. The wide range of categories included Operators, Sensors, People, History and Retro-Refective. After fve days of friendly competition and product immersion, each team's total scores were tallied and announced. Coming in frst place with a Jeopardy score of 365 were The One Eyed Jacks, consisting of Jeff Anderson, Anders Melberg, Terry Lawler, Meredith Gray and Chris Alix. In second place with a Jeopardy score of 250, there was Luke Krombach, Kitty Hines, Cas Cate, Genebry Kumiga and Annie Ohler as The James Marsdens. Rounding out the top three were The Eyes of March, featuring Sherry Johnson, Madhu Thevanathan, Paul Accardo and Terri Skocz, with a Jeopardy score of 240.
