or six years, members of the IDA have recognized their
technicians by joining with their peers to celebrate
SuperTech Day. The last Friday in June is the offcial day.
All dealers acknowledge the importance of these professionals
in a variety of ways, but SuperTech Day is one time when the
entire industry stops to say thank you!
Here is how three IDA members paid tribute to their
technicians:

Garage Door Services
Plano, Texas
The company celebrated the day with
a unique and wonderful lunch all made
by their very own SuperTech, Kevin
Kodama. Kevin is famous for his special
recipe for fajitas, pico de gallo and beans. Everyone raved about how
good everything was and told him "you should open up a restaurant!"
The entire whole team and a few family members were able to have lunch
together.
Every year A1 Affordable Garage Door Services chooses a local charity
to donate in honor of their SuperTechs. This year, This Side Up! Family
Fun Center was selected. The Center's mission is Moving Families from
Surviving to Thriving through parenting education, values, and focused
entertainment for the whole family. For every garage door opener the
company installed, a portion of the proceeds was given to Sarah
Morris, the founding member of the organization. A check was
presented to Sarah and her mother in the amount of $200.00 at the
annual SuperTech Day luncheon.
"We are so lucky to have service technicians who truly love and
care about what they do, take outstanding care of the customers
and work long, sweaty hours to make it happen! Thank you to all
SuperTechs in the garage door industry!" stated Kris O'Connor,
General Manager.
