Jonathan Babineau Region 1 Sponsor: Raynor Door Authority of New England, Manchester, NH School: Ave Maria University, Ave Maria, FL "Ever since I was young, I have always been a leader. Throughout high school, I took leadership of many groups and was very involved in extracurricular activities. I plan to major in Finance and minor in Philosophy at Ave Maria University. After college I hope to open a series of coffee shops and eventually get into property investment and small business development. My life goal, however, is to get married and start a beautiful family. I was overjoyed when I heard the news about the IDA Scholarship. I thank IDA so much for this support." Jonathon is a sophomore at college. In High School he participated in Youth Ministry, Care Team, Music Ministry as leader, Varsity Soccer as Captain and presently is a Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree as well as working for Raynor Door Authority of New England as an installer on his breaks from school. For the generous donation given during the IDA 20/20+ Scholarship Campaign, Mr. Barton's scholarship is awarded by ON TRAC GARAGE DOOR CO. My educational plan is a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I pray that I can use this training well in the future to help others. Thanks again to all at IDA!" As a junior in college, Jamin is focused on using his Business acumen to improve his community and achieve a solid entry into the business world. He is an active member of the German Baptist Church and is currently managing a branch of A & B Interiors Inc., a small business that provides contracted services to healthcare facilities. INDUSTRYNEWS Alanna Battistini Region 6 Sponsor: Precision Door Service of Greenville, Greer, SC School: Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL "As an Actuarial Science major, I have been preparing to take several national qualifcation exams. Thanks to the IDA Scholarship Foundation, I am now registered to take the frst exam later this fall. Aside from my love for math, I have developed such a strong passion for the Spanish language, that I have chosen Spanish Business as my second major. Next spring, I will be studying abroad in Valencia, Spain and am excited about the opportunity to immerse myself in their culture. By combining these two unique studies, I hope to advance international business practices that will prove to be benefcial long into the future." Alanna has been on the FSU President's List at college for all of the 2014-2015 academic year for maintaining a 4.0. She is also an avid volunteer for community disaster and emergency relief. An actuary is a business professional who analyzes the fnancial consequences of risk. Actuaries use mathematics, statistics and fnancial theory to study uncertain future events, especially those of concern to insurance and pension programs. Brennan Czuchran Region 3 Sponsor: Deluxe Doors, Martins Ferry, OH School: Capitol University, Columbus, OH "I am currently a sophomore at Capital University, majoring in accounting to become a CPA. I plan on pursuing an MBA upon graduation. I fnished my freshman year at Capital with a 4.0 GPA. As a freshman on the Capital basketball team, I appeared in 25 games with 4 starts. Thanks again IDA for your support and generosity!" Brennan is part of the University Honors program. He works at Deluxe Doors to support his education.
