I have had many leadership roles at ETBU and through those positions I have learned that I love making students feel at home and fnd community, so why not do it as a career! I want to work with college students well after I graduate, helping them through their journey in hope that they not only become successful, but also enjoy their college experience as much as I have. When it comes to teens, I would love to open an afterschool program for underprivileged teens to have a place to come to and know that they are loved." In her Senior year, Halen is fnishing her degree in Pre- Professional Phycology. She has been on the Dean's List with Honors for fve semesters and been a part of a study abroad trip to Israel. Recently she interned with College Bound, a program for high school students in Tacoma, Washington. It equips and prepares students for college success academically, emotionally, and socially. I am very excited to start school, as I have always been interested in fsh and aquatic life. In the future, I really hope to work with coral reefs." With over three hundred volunteer hours in high school, Kyra has worked with Peer Mentors and Student Council. She serves her community at the Library for children's programs, Art Gallery and Center and Kinettes Club, a non-proft organization with various events that raise money for the community. Her mother returned to school as an adult with three children and earned her nursing degree. Following her example, Madison, a freshman, is studying at the Utah College of Dental Health. She has already earned a Dental Assisting Certifcate from Salt Lake Community College during her senior year of high school. While in high school, , Madison participated in Drill Team-Vice President, and as coach for the Junior Drill Team.
