IDA O r g a n i z a t i o n s / A f f i l i a t e s N e w s California Door and Operator Association Rocks the West The Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California was the site of the annual CODA trade show, the largest Western Region- al Garage Door & Gate Trade Show. The show was held October 2 and 3 at the Pechanga, preceded by a golf outing which raised $1200 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Supported by 49 exhibitors, the show was attended by more than 200 door and access systems professionals. Besides the golf outing, the show featured IDEA certifcation testing, educational workshops, ample exhibit hours, a sit-down dinner and a Poker Tournament on Friday evening, and an annual meeting breakfast and a buffet lunch in the exhibit hall on Saturday. Professional Door Association of New England Trade Show Kicks off Fall Season of Meetings The Professional Door Association of New England (PDANE) held its biennial trade show on September 11 in Marlborough, Mas- sachusetts. "The trade show was well attended by 38 exhibiting companies and over 150 total door and access systems person- nel," according to Rich Cunningham, PDANE president. The trade show featured IDEA testing and two educational work- shops in the afternoon, followed by the opening of the exhibit hall and a buffet dinner. Door prizes donated by the exhibitors were on display in the exhibit hall and attendees purchased raffe tickets to be in a drawing for the prizes they wanted. In addition to the door prizes, a 50/50 raffe was held for the IDA Schol- arship Foundation with $230 being raised for the scholarship fund. Winner of the 50/50 was Fimbel Architectural Door Specialties, who in turn donated the majority of their winnings to the IDA Scholarship Foundation also. By vote of attendees, winner of the Best Truck Contest and a $100 prize was Don Vinton of Vin- ton's Garage Doors in Foxboro. Best Logo was won by Mattadoor Garage Doors in Uxbridge, and second place went to Vinton's Garage Doors.
