Two IDA Publications Updated for Members
The Company Safety & Health Manual, which was originally published in 2009 has been revised to include a chapter on the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP). It is available on CD and now it is also available as a member download on www.doors.org. The manual was created with door dealers in mind. It is a comprehensive quality safety manual, with full navigation and substantial supporting information. Having a safety manual is an essential step in creating and sustaining a successful safety effort.
The Human Resources Best Practices Guide, also published in 2009, received more than 40 updates in its 2012 revision. Also available as a member download on www.doors. org, the IDA HR Best Practices Guide for Managers lays out provisions, standing policies and programs designed to prevent employment discrimination, sexual harassment and racial discrimination, as well as providing clear policies pertaining to overtime pay, hours of work, sick leave and vacation leave and holidays.
