Its rolling hills, beautiful country landscapes and quaint communities defi ne the area but in recent years the county has also become increasingly suburban. Mount Garage Doors' main offi ce is located in the county seat of Westminster at the home of Dave and Julie Mount, and a new showroom and warehouse are located just a few miles away in the town of Sykesville. Mount Garage Doors is a fi rst generation door dealership, founded in 1997. In January 1998 the company joined IDA. The husband and wife team threw all their resources into making the business work, and between their collective experiences in customer service in the hospitality management fi eld, David's degree in business administration and Julie's in arts and sciences, they not only made a go of it, they have built a prosperous family business, having survived the recession of the past several years and declare that 2012 appears to be their best year yet for sales. 16 International Door & Operator Industry™
