speed governor system. The
governor utilizes an integrated
self-adjusting clutch and
reducer – similar to that on
Lawrence "Easy-Reset" chain,
crank and motor operated
fre doors – to provide ease of operation combined with advanced
descent control during automatic closing.
Its unique directional design means that, unlike most traditional
governors utilizing a centrifugal clutch, this innovative new governor
system is completely disengaged when the door is being lifted open,
but engages automatically as needed in a load-sensing response to
the door closing.
