A TRIBUTE TO JACK LANDIS
On October 18, 2012, the industry lost Jack Landis, a person who
devoted thousands of hours assisting door dealers become more
understanding of company financial management and planning.
Jack was the administrator of the early day DODA Dealer-Fit
Program that has now morphed into the IDA Dealer-Fit Program
administered by John Zoller and David Bowen.
Jack and his wife, Marion, were very popular people during DODA
Conventions as they met with individual dealers to review their
financial reports and activities. In 2000, Jack Landis was honored
for his service to the association and industry and was the recipient
of the IDA Presidential Service Award.
"In my travels as I visit with door dealers, Jack's name comes up
quite frequently. He was so well liked and appreciated by a great
number of IDA members. Without any reservation, the work he
accomplished helped us become the dynamic industry we are
today," stated Chris Long, IDA Managing Director.
