101 INDUSTRYNEWS V O L U M E 4 7 I S S U E 1 2 0 1 4 101 MERIK CONFERENCE CONDUCTED Merik Industries conducted its 2013 Distributor Conference in Los Cabos, Mexico, November 6-8. Attending the event were the leading distributors for Merik, and several product providers. The conference featured three highly acclaimed speakers on subjects pertaining to sales, the economy, and personal achievement. IDA President, Bill Gibson gave a presentation highlighting Region 12 activities during the past six years, and emphasizing the major role played by Merik. Merik distributors were recognized during two evenings of sales achievement awards. On the fnal evening, IDA president, Bill Gibson presented Merik president, Arturo Merikanskas with the IDA President's Special Service Award. Under Mr. Merikanskas' leadership, a signifcant number of Merik distributors have become IDA members, and numerous educational/training endeavors have resulted. Also participating in the special presentation were IDA Region 12 Director, Alejandro Grossmann, and IDA Managing Director, Chris Long.
